Iran actor Bahram Radan to star in Jeyrani’s movie

Multi-talented Iranian film actor Bahram Radan is set to star in director Fereydoun Jeyrani’s latest project, ‘The Unrest’.

The movie with the temporary name ‘The Unrest’ is currently in the pre-production stage and will kick off shooting soon.

Born in 1979, Bahram Radan studied Business Administration at Islamic Azad University.

In 1999, he took acting courses and was chosen to take part in ‘The Passion of Love’ (2000) by Nadir Moqaddas.

Radan was nominated for the fifth Iran Cinema Celebration Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role by performing in ‘Swan Song’ (2000).

He gained an award for the Best Actor in a Leading role for his performance in ‘The Killer’ (2009) at India’s Ladakh International Film Festival.

The actor also won a Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor by starring in ‘Candle in the Wind’ (2003) and ‘Santouri’ (2006).

He has appeared in ‘Gilaneh’ (2003), ‘The Verdict’ (2005), ‘Kan'an’ (2007), ‘Maritime Silk Road’ (2010) and ‘Ceasefire’ (2014).

In 2010, Radan was chosen to be the first Iranian ambassador against hunger for the UN World Food Program (WFP).

The director of the film, Fereydoun Jeyrani entered the film industry by writing the screenplay for a movie by Mehdi Sabaghzadeh in 1981 and continued writing until 1987, when he directed his first movie.

He has directed several movies, including ‘Red’ (1998), ‘Fire and Water’ (2000), ‘The Last Supper’ (2001), ‘Pink’ (2002), ‘Season Salad’ (2004), ‘Zagros’ (2005), the trilogy of ‘Stars’ (2005), ‘Parkway’ (2006), ‘Parya's Story’ (2010), and ‘I'm a Mother’ (2010).

He has also made series such as ‘The Gradual Death of a Dream’ (2008) and ‘The Warped Interpretation of a Dream’ (2015).

Jeyrani has been nominated for several awards for movies such as ‘Red’, ‘The Last Supper’, and ‘Pink’.

In addition to directing, Jeyrani is also a producer, cinematographer, screenplay writer, television anchor and journalist.
